Jake Paul's boxing trainer BJ Flores was taken to hospital after suffering a "penis injury" from a dog bite on Saturday night.
The former cruiserweight world title contender has been coaching Paul since his professional debut in early 2020, and has worked as his head trainer since before his bout with Nate Robinson.
And after the YouTuber confirmed he would be taking some time out of the ring to focus on promoting the Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano fight in April, Flores returned to his hometown in Arizona.
He has been enjoying life away from the gym and Paul's hectic schedule, but was left in a panic over the weekend after he was admitted to hospital for a "penis injury" after being bitten by a dog.
The boxing trainer posted a video to his Instagram story showing him in hospital after suffering the injury, as well as a doctor's report with a diagnoses that read: "Dog bite, initial encounter" as well as "penile laceration, initial encounter".
He then shared a series of messages to his 41,300+ followers saying "Talk about terrified, I am fine thank God!
"So whenever you think you're having a bad day... Just remember that story about the guy that was in the ER until 4am with a "penile laceration" from a dog bite."
He was ultimately discharged from hospital and is now home recovering from the injury, where expects to be fully recovered within 10 days.
Flores later admitted in a screenshot posted to his story that he felt it was "the funniest doctor's report".
He and Paul likely won't reunite for another few months, with the YouTuber-turned-boxer still awaiting an opponent for his return to the ring.
Paul was supposed to face Tommy Fury in his last outing back in December, but ended up having to hastily arrange a rematch with former UFC champion Tyron Woodley when the Brit pulled out with an injury.

Fury is still angling to have the fight rescheduled, but Paul seems less keen on the idea and has said that he would need to earn it with a solid performance on the undercard of his brother Tyson's world heavyweight title fight with Dillian Whyte.
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr has also emerged as a possible Paul opponent, with the former world middleweight champion an enticing prospect given his massive record in the sport.
But having just had a fight pulled due to a late-notice injury, Paul is concerned about the prospect of fighting somebody with a reputation for being outrageous like Chavez Jr.
"I want the fight," Paul told Mirror Fighting of a possible bout with Chavez Jr. "We have to figure out the set-up of it - obviously he's making bold asks right off the jump.
"But he's a little cuckoo, I think everybody in the boxing industry knows that he's a little cuckoo. So we'll see, I want the fight but some people are saying he might not even show up."
