Jake Paul KOs basketball mascot with right hook to leave bear facedown on court

Jake Paul dropped basketball mascot Clutch after landing a right hook on the bear at the NBA clash between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets.

Paul had been ringside to watch his brother Logan compete at WrestleMania 38 in his maiden WWE appearance before making his way to Houston to watch the basketball match. He was seated courtside for the event and was invited to confront the mascot named Clutch who represents the home side.

Paul came on to court to face up to the mascot who wore a giant boxing glove. Paul took no prisoners and landed his right hand to left the bear 'knocked out' and facedown on court. The crowd responded with a gasp as the mascot remained on the court for some time before being carried away.

Paul watched on as the Rockets' lost 139-132 to the Timberwolves just hours after his brother had made a hugely successful appearance at on the first night of WrestleMania 38 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Paul, 25, later took selfies with fans who also watched on court side and greeted several of the players from both sides after the match had finished.

The YouTube star is currently preparing for his sixth professional boxing fight having taken a break since his explosive knockout victory over Tyron Woodley in their rematch last December. Paul also fought the likes of Ben Askren and basketball player Nate Robinson as he amassed a record of 5-0 with four knockouts.

He will return to the ring in August with Tommy Fury and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr among his possible opponents. Paul has also called for a UFC clash with Conor McGregor and has offered to donate his prize money to the promotion's lowest-paid fighters if he loses.

Paul has offered to fight in the UFC under the condition that minimum payouts for fighters come up from $12,000 to show and $12,000 to win to a flat $50,000. He is willing to put his purse on the line to make the change a reality, adding that "this is about the fighters".

"This is about making a change," Paul insisted. "That's what Conor hasn't ever done, he's always been selfish. The fighter pay needs to increase so I've said that if I win, then Dana has to increase the minimum fighter pay. If I lose then they can take the money and do whatever.

"But I know I can beat Conor, people think 'this kid's crazy' and yeah, I am, no s***, that's how I've gotten this far because I'm crazy and I believe in myself and Conor is on a downhill spiral, his limbs are all broken, in the stand-up game I'm knocking him out first round."
