Jake Paul hits out at US President Joe Biden with lengthy list of faults

Jake Paul has blasted President Joe Biden amid inflation and rising oil prices in the United States, branding his voters "the American problem".

The YouTuber-turned-boxer has been a fan of former president Donald Trump for a number of years, with his brother Logan confirming that he voted Republican in the 2020 election. He was pictured with Trump last summer, and has shared FaceTime calls with him after some of his most-notable fights.

Paul is currently in Puerto Rico training for his ring return this summer, which he announced last week as taking place at Madison Square Garden on August 6. But he found time to blast President Biden and his supporters on social media in an epic rant listing a series of issues that have arisen in America since he took over last year.

Paul tweeted: "Biden accomplishments: 1. Highest gas prices 2. Worst inflation 3. Plummeting crypto prices 4. Highest rent prices ever 5. Created new incomprehensible language. If you read this and voted for Biden and you still don't regret it then you are the American problem."

Biden's approval rating has plummeted in a number of polls over the past year and a recent study from the Quinnipiac University on Wednesday found that only 22 per cent of young people aged 18 to 24 believe he has done a good job thus far. The statistics from FiveThirtyEight, who aggregate poll scores, indicate that he is the least-popular president in 40 years.

Paul has spent considerably less time in the United States since moving to Puerto Rico but his boxing career is still primarily based in his homeland. He promoted Amanda Serrano's fight with Katie Taylor in New York's Madison Square Garden back in April and will return to the city for his next fight, believed to be against Tommy Fury.

The alleged news that he was fighting Fury was leaked by rival promoter Eddie Hearn recently but Paul has blasted the Brit and said that he is talking "rubbish" about a potential bout. Replying to heavyweight champion Tyson Fury over reports of his boxing comeback, Paul declared "anything that comes out of Hearn’s mouth is rubbish".

Hearn had told talkSPORT that he heard the fight was being rescheduled for Paul's return later this year, but had the wrong date when making his comments. “I don’t represent them, but I hear that fight [Paul vs Fury] is happening August 13, so you might see it,” Hearn said. “Both are very limited, but as long as it’s a competitive fight, it doesn’t really matter."

Paul had been teasing an August 13 ring return but would have jumped at the opportunity to fight at Madison Square Garden, considered by many to be the 'Mecca of boxing'. His relationship with the venue appeared solid during the Taylor vs Serrano fight week, when he was gifted a golden ticket to commemorate the event and was involved in major media opportunities.
