Jake Paul knocked out Andre August in the first round of their match at Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Fla. on Friday evening.
Paul, who delivered on his promise of a first-round knock-out, landed a damaging uppercut that sent August directly to the mat at 2:32 of the first round.
The 26 year-old Paul, who was a -900 favorite to win the fight, improved to 8–1 in his brief pro career, handing August only his second career loss (10-2-1).

After suffering a previous split decision loss to Tommy Fury back in February, Friday night’s victory marked Paul’s first win over a traditional boxer as five of his previous wins came against MMA fighters.
While many anticipate that Paul’s win tonight sets up a potential rematch with Fury in 2024, this dominating performance by the former YouTube star-turned-boxer can not be ignored.
