Jake Paul considering surprise career move after calling out Canelo

Jake Paul has hinted at a future move away from boxing after beating Mike Tyson.

The 27-year-old eased to a unanimous decision victory against the former two-time heavyweight champion of the world earlier this month in a hugely controversial event.

While the fight broke records in terms of viewership, the fact a 58-year-old Tyson was paired against a much younger man has led to criticism – particularly after ‘Iron Mike’ revealed he suffered a severe medical scare earlier this summer.

Paul, however, remains a major talking point in boxing. The likes of Ryan Garcia, Daniel Dubois and Artur Beterbiev have called him out since the win over Tyson, while ‘The Problem Child’ has eyes on one of the sport’s pound-for-pound kings.

Canelo Alvarez is in Paul’s sights. Prior to beating Tyson, the crossover YouTube star called for the Mexican to meet him and determine “the face of boxing” and Paul continued to try and goad Canelo after the fight.

“Canelo needs me,” he said.

“I'm not even gonna call him out. He knows he wants a payday and he knows where the money man's at."

Still, Paul has hinted at a potential move into World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) to join up with brother, Logan.

“I would love to,” said Paul when asked about joining the promotion.

“I would want to be like your [brother Logan’s] Paul Heyman [manager].

“'I wouldn't want to wrestle as much. I can do some s***, but I would want to be your sidekick businessman or some s***.”
