Police said the accused used to contact through social media accounts by posing as a woman. He would claim to be settled aboard with a good business. He would contact people through forged sim cards and offer to sell important electronic items at discounted prices. “The accused would bilk money in multiple tranches on the pretext of custom duty, bills etc,” he said.
