JAIPUR: Residents of Brahmapuri area are facing water crisis as the water is being supplied at a very low pressure by Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED).
In Ratan Nagar and Gangadhar Rao ki Gali, colonies of Brahmapuri, residents have met officials to complain about the slow pressure of water supply. Residents complain that this problem has aggravated in last 15 days.
Sonu Kumar, a resident of Ratan Nagar, said that it’s been difficult to manage with this water pressure. “As the temperature is soaring, water consumption has increased but with such low pressure, we have no option but to order tankers. We are not even able to fill up two buckets of water,” said Kumar.
Another resident of Gangadhar Rao ki Gali, Chitarmal Sharma said that they order water tankers from government but that is not a permanent solution. “This is a continuous problem and even if government provides tankers one time, it is not a solution. It is very difficult to sustain in summers with low water pressure. There are 300 houses in our colony who are facing this problem,” said Sharma.
In Gangadhar Rao ki Gali, residents are demanding that a six-inch water pipeline be laid in their area.
