JAIPUR: Residents of Bhatta Basti are irked over the irregular water supply in the area. Apart from polluted water, the supply has been irregular since last 15 days and despite multiple complaints, nothing has changed.
Wahid Khan from Ward 15 in Bhatta Basti area told TOI that residents have complained to the officials. “A few weeks back we protested in front of the PHED office. For next three days, water supply was normal, now it’s back to square one. Water is supplied only for 15 minutes out of which for five minutes dirty water is supplied,” said Khan.
PHED executive engineer, GS Katara however, refuted the claims. “There is no such problem there. We do get some complaints but if there are any problems, we will send our officials and look into the matter,” said Katara.
Another resident Pappu Qureshi, who recently, organised a protest in front of the PHED office said that no one in the department wants to take up this matter.
