JAIPUR: The city police have busted an interstate gang of con men and arrested four cyber criminals. The four accused were cheating people by exchanging their ATM cards and withdrawing money from their bank accounts on the outskirts of Jaipur and other cities, police said on Monday.
Bagru police of Jaipur (West) recovered nearly 183 ATM cards of nearly 34 banks, two swipe machines and a vehicle from the possession of the four men. The arrested accused were identified as Aamir (30), Saud (30), Khursheed (31) and Taushif (19). Police said there were cases registered against them at police stations in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan.
DCP (West) Richa Tomar said in a press conference on Monday that with these arrests police have unearthed cyber fraud incidents in which more than Rs 12 lakh was withdrawn. tnn
