Is another big-name homecoming on the horizon for the Carolina Panthers?
On Friday, the team’s newest outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney hopped on Zoom for his introductory chat with local reporters. When his former high school and college teammate became a topic of discussion, the three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher revealed a rather intriguing little nugget . . .
Jadeveon Clowney on Stephon Gilmore: "I'm gonna try to get him to pull up, too."
Says Gilmore told him he's trying to get the Panthers to bring him back.

Gilmore, who remains a free agent, played nine games for the Panthers in 2022. Despite the short stint with Carolina, his efforts earned him the fifth Pro Bowl selection of his career.
The 33-year-old cornerback goes way back with Clowney, a fellow Rock Hill, S.C. native. The two shared the field at South Pointe High School as well as the one at the collegiate level for the University of South Carolina.
With the Panthers still needing to add at least one more piece to their secondary, the team has reportedly been in touch with Gilmore.
And now, especially after Clowney’s comments, the ball may really be in Carolina’s court.
