Jaden Smith has appeared to defend his dad Will after he hit Chris Rock at the Oscars.
The eyes of the world were on the Academy Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night, with many Brits staying up into the early hours to watch the ceremony. But, amongst checking out the red carpet outfits and masking predictions on who would take home the big awards on the night, something no-one saw coming was Will striking comedian Chris.
The comment which appeared to trigger Will’s Oscars stage invasion was when Chris, who was there to present the award for documentary feature, remarked his wife Jada, who was sitting next to him, “couldn’t wait for GI Jane 2.”

Jada suffers from alopecia and, while Will looked to laugh off the gag at first, her face was like thunder at Chris' quip. And moments later, husband Will took to the stage to hit Chris, as shocked A-listers in the Oscars audience looked on.
As Twitter was set alight by the incident and Will went onto win Best Actor for King Richard, Jaden took to the social media platform to post his reaction, writing: "And that's how we do it," in an act of defence of his dad's actions.
Swift to react, one Twitter user responded: "I think you miss spelled, 'I'm embarrassed at my father's behavior." But defending both Jaden's opinion and his father, one of his followers replied: "A man defended his wife after another man made "jokes" about her career on national TV, there's nothing to be embarrassed about. His dad is awesome!"
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has since confirmed no police report has yet been filed following an altercation at the 94th Academy Awards, during which Oscar winner Will Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock but said officers are aware of the incident..
