Jackie O Allegedly Complained About ‘Offensive & Degrading’ Kyle Sandilands Incident 8 Months Ago

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson allegedly urged the chairman and chief executive of ARN to step in, saying Kyle Sandilands was treating her as though they were in an “abusive relationship”, after he lashed out at her and suggested she was on “period time” — an incident that occurred six months before their partnership ultimately collapsed, Sydney Morning Herald reports.

Newly released Federal Court documents reveal Henderson had already raised concerns about Sandilands’ conduct following an August 2025 broadcast, where he criticised her in a manner similar to the February 2026 clash that brought their working relationship to an end.

In the filings, Jackie ‘O’ Henderson is seeking more than $82 million in damages from KIIS owner ARN, alleging the company tore up her contract and breached workplace obligations by effectively retaliating against her after she raised complaints about Kyle Sandilands.

Her legal team also argues she was never offered a new program before ARN terminated her contract on March 3, despite the network previously telling the stock market otherwise. They further claim the company failed to step in during Sandilands’ on-air outburst on February 20.

According to text messages included in the court documents, Henderson alleges she told ARN executives that Sandilands’ remarks — including claims she was fixated on astrology and behaving unprofessionally — were “unfair, inappropriate and completely unprovoked”.

The filings also state that Henderson raised concerns as early as August with KIIS FM station manager Derek Bargwanna, following complaints from listeners.

The statement of claim, released by the Federal Court after Henderson lodged her case last week, alleges she was unfairly dismissed after informing the company she could no longer work with her longtime co-host, Sandilands.

It also details a series of internal communications indicating senior ARN executives were aware of her concerns as far back as September last year, supporting her argument that the February 20 incident was not an isolated dispute.

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson lodged proceedings in the Federal Court of Australia last week, seeking “at least” $82.25 million in damages and alleging her contract was unfairly terminated. Her statement of claim also contends that an ASX announcement issued on March 3 regarding her dismissal contained “misleading and deceptive statements” in breach of Australian Consumer Law.

In a statement to the ASX last Tuesday, ARN said Henderson had raised “psychosocial health and safety and bullying complaints” about Kyle Sandilands, relating to his conduct both during the pair’s widely publicised on-air clash on February 20 and in earlier incidents. The company told the market Henderson had indicated she could no longer work with Sandilands, effectively bringing her contract to an end.

The dispute marks the second set of legal proceedings involving ARN, after Sandilands filed his own case in the Federal Court last month. His contract was also terminated, with the company citing “serious misconduct” linked to his behaviour toward Henderson on February 20 and prior occasions.
