New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones arrived at East Boston District Court to be arraigned on multiple gun charges stemming from an incident that took place at a security checkpoint at Logan International Airport on Friday.
Jones was arrested for allegedly attempting to bring firearms on a flight. The charges include two counts each of:
- Possession of a concealed weapon in a secure area of an airport
- Possession of ammunition without a Firearm Identification Card
- Unlawful possession of a firearm
- Carrying a loaded firearm
- Possession of a large-capacity feeding device
A Boston 25 News camera caught the second-year cornerback walking into court on Tuesday morning.

Jones could serve jail time if convicted.
The Patriots organization released a statement last Friday after learning of the incident.
“We have been notified that Jack Jones was arrested at Logan Airport earlier today. We are in the process of gathering more information and will not be commenting further at this time,” the Patriots’ statement read, per the Boston Herald’s Andrew Callahan.
The team hasn’t outright released Jones, which means they’re probably waiting for the legal system to play out to have a better idea of where things stand.
It’s a tough situation all around for both the team and a 25-year-old player many see as a rising NFL talent.
