Jack Grealish has praised Harry Styles for his “cool” fashion sense as the Manchester City star was unveiled as the latest ambassador for luxury fashion brand Gucci.
Last August, the 26-year-old became the most expensive English footballer ever with his transfer from Aston Villa to Manchester City costing a cool £100 million - and bagged a Premier League winner’s medal on Sunday.
Now he’s set to take the fashion world by storm too with his Gucci deal reportedly worth around $1.7 million in cash, merchandise and other sponsorships.
Appearing on the cover of the Summer 2022 issue of The Face, Grealish spoke about his admiration for fellow ambassador Styles and revealed how he has been a fan of the Italian label from a young age.
He said: “I like [Harry Styles’] style. I think it’s cool! Everyone is different, people wear different types of clothes and what he wears actually suits him.
“Some of his stuff is a bit different to what I’d usually wear, but I admire the way he owns what he wears. I think he wears it well.”
His first taste of Gucci came when he was just 16-years-old and treated to a washbag by his dad.
He explained: “I was in Tenerife when I was younger – you can ask my dad this – and he bought me a [Gucci] washbag because I was in the first team. I was only 16. It goes that far back!”
Elsewhere in the interview, the midfielder spoke about his desire to settle down and start a family.
He is currently in a long-term relationship with model Sasha Attwood.
The couple first met when they were at school and have been dating since they were 16.
He told the publication: “My mum and dad are married, so of course I want to do that.
“I know it’s easy to say, but the goal for me is just to be happy, man. I think that’s the most important thing in life.”
