Manchester City’s Jack Grealish has responded to comments from Nottingham Forest defender Steve Cook after he said he would go ‘full Jack Grealish’ in promotion celebrations.
Forest secured their return back to the Premier League after a 23-year absence on Sunday. A 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the play-off final started the party in and around Nottingham. Levi Colwill’s own goal just before the half time break was enough to separate the two teams.
In the chaos of the celebrations after the full-time whistle at Wembley Stadium, Cook gave an emotional interview to Sky Sports. “I think we are going to go full Jack Grealish," he said.

"We obviously saw the celebrations and we dreamt that it would be us. It's the only time that I will probably able to be Jack Grealish and I am going to enjoy it."
The Forest defender was referring to videos emerging of the £100 million man enjoying Man City’s Premier League title celebrations in the days after his side won the league.
When asked about his ‘Jack Grealish’ celebrations during Forest’s party, Cook invited the Man City man to give his verdict. “I don’t think they’ve even started yet,” he told Sky Sports. “Only Jack Grealish can judge them I think today.”
“I love him as a player, I love him as a human because he lives life and if we can enjoy this moment as much as he did his, I’ll have a good night.”
Those comments have now received a response from Grealish who is looking forward to facing Forest twice next season. “Congrats!! Enjoy you legend, see you next year!!” he wrote on Twitter.
Forest will find out when they take on the Premier League Champions, including Grealish, when the Premier League fixtures are released on June 16, 2022, at 9 am BST.
