Perisic's classy touch
Antonio Conte's decision to pursue Ivan Perisic this summer has already paid off. The player has made a great impact on the squad, brings a history of success in domestic leagues and is extremely professional and versatile.
His latest actions might have trumped all of this though as he made spoke with Joe Rodon before making a big decision ahead of the upcoming league season. The Welsh centre back deserves his own credit for making Perisic feel welcome and now supporters also have some clarity on a key issue within the club.
Tottenham's £40m boost
Tottenham's search for more defensive reinforcements have been given a massive boost as Juventus identify their Matthijs De Ligt replacement.
The Old Lady had been interested in one of Spurs' key summer targets but instead turned to Gleison Bremer. This has in turn opened up a chance for Conte to reignite his attention for one of his favoured defenders. Spurs are still looking to bring in one or two more players having already signed six, and could look to La Liga for their latest offer.
Depay and Maddison links
Fabrizio Romano has hinted that Spurs could still be in a position to make a statement attacking midfield signing, saying that, "“I would keep it open honestly because Fabio Paratici, the director of Tottenham, always works in this kind of opportunity."
Tottenham have been linked with a move for Memphis Depay at Barcelona as they look to free up wages and squad slots, as well as Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.
The Englishman has previously been linked with a move to N17 and would offer the workrate and style suited to Conte's sides.
