ITV's Tipping Point viewers spotted two contestants who looked scarily like two celebrities on the latest episode of the daytime quiz show. One looked the spitting image of Coronation Street's Fizz played by Jennie McAlpine, the other like Happy Monday's star Bez.
During the opening of the game show on Thursday (March 24), host Ben Shephard was introducing the contestants before they faced their first round of questions, when eagle-eyed viewers spotted the two lookalikes. Many thought Rob, from Newcastle, looked like Happy Mondays and Dancing On Ice star, Bez, the Daily star reported.
Posting on Twitter Layla-Jade posted: "If Rob produces some maracas, and starts dancing to Kinky Afro, I’ll be a happy Yank. #tippingpoint", referring to the Happy Monday's track from 1990. Mary added: "Is that Baz? #tippingpoint".
He wasn't the only contestant to leave viewers doing a double take. When Frankie, from Bristol, took her turn answering questions for the chance to put a coin in the arcade-style machine, Twitter was flooded with comments saying she was a doppelganger for Weatherfield soap character Fiz Stape.
Unfortunately she was the first to be eliminated too. Mat Sherlock tweeted: "Bye Fizz who didn’t have a lovely day… #tippingpoint" and Steve Evans posted a picture of the actress Jennie McAlpine with the caption: "Flip me! Fizz is on #tippingpoint". "What’s Fizz from Corrie doing on tippingpoint #TippingPoint" Victoria added.
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV and ITV Hub from 4pm.
