Tipping Point fans did a "double-take" after spotting a contestant on the game show who bore an uncanny resemblance to a star of The Inbetweeners.
As contestant Tony joined Sophie, Sarah and Scott on the ITV show in an effort to win a cash prize, viewers were left comparing Tony's resemblance to actor Alex Macqueen, who plays Neil’s father Kevin Sutherland on the Channel 4 comedy series.
Tony's demeanour, glasses, sense of style, and even his subtle mannerisms left fans convinced he had to be somehow related to the famous actor who plays a flamboyant father in the sitcom. After Tony's introduction on the latest episode of Tipping Point, viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his likeness to actor Alex.

"Is Neil’s dad from The Inbetweeners on Tipping Point? Oh, wait, it's a lookalike," one viewer quipped. "Ah thought it was Neil's dad from The Inbetweeners hahah," another added, while a third joked: "He's the spitting image of him."
"Who is looking after Neil if his dad is on Tipping Point," another ITV viewer said. While someone else replied: "Gosh, he actually really does look like him lol."
After being compared to the Inbetweeners character, Tony went on the beat off his fellow players and go through to the final after an intense head-to-head, reports The Mirror. The quick-witted contestant then managed to land the £10,000 jackpot after showing off his impressive trivia skills.
It comes after host Ben Shephard was left cringing at one contestant as he hosted another instalment of the ITV game show recently. Ben, 47, asked: “The only two American states to begin with the letter 'K' are Kansas and which other?”
As contestant Harry passed the question to his fellow competitor Dave, who correctly answered Kentucky, Harry blurted: “KFC, I should have got it, yeah.” The surprise comment left Ben in stitches, while Dave knocked down an impressive 11 counters in the giant arcade machine as a result of answering the steal correctly.
