This Morning has come under fire over a "tone deaf" segment during Thursday's instalment of the ITV show.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield hosted the popular morning programme as usual, from the studio's iconic sofa. The much-loved pair discussed everything from the latest politics, to a potential male contraceptive pill in the UK. The beginning of the show saw the conversation turn to Rishi Sunak's Spring Statement. The Chancellor made a series of announcements on Wednesday, with many Brits agreeing they were not good enough as the cost of living continues to soar.
Phillip told viewers many are "having to choose between heating their homes or feeding their kids". He also said the Chancellor's move to cut petrol by 5p a litre was essentially not going to save motorists any money, as petrol stations have already put prices up by 6 pence in some cases.

Shortly afterwards, Holly and Phil introduced a travel segment, featuring gardening expert Daisy Payne on a tour of Sri Lanka. Phillip said: "It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it".
The show then cut to Daisy drinking champagne on a first class flight. The feature went on to show her exploring spices and riding in a tuktuk. Many viewers called the segment "tone deaf". Taking to Twitter, Traylor Holmes said: "Worried about rising living costs? Fear not, here’s Daisy in Sri Lanka."
Michelle W said: "Another tone deaf segment on #ThisMorning people are choosing between heating and eating but here's someone on a £££££ holiday abroad. Switched off bc it's a joke" [sic] while John Lawton said: "In this climate why don't they send someone to Prestatyn Pontins?!"
Miss Vix said: "Cost of living crisis oh look we’ve sent someone to Sri Lanka to rub all your noses in it bwaahahahaha" and Cheryl Scribens said: "Oh here we go. You're all worried about if you can afford to eat so here's someone in Sri Lanka to cheer you all up".
