ITV This Morning viewers 'suddenly in love' as Dermot O'Leary interaction melts hearts

This Morning viewers found themselves 'suddenly in love' with Dermot O'Leary as he showed a different side during his latest appearance. The former X Factor host was back at the helm of the popular daytime show on Monday (April 18) alongside Alison Hammond.

The usual Friday hosts were back filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as they finish up their Easter breaks before returning o the show on Tuesday (April 19).

Alison and Dermot were joined on the programme by one of Britain's Got Talent's latest auditionees, Nick Edwards. There wasn't a dry eye in the London Palladium during the dad-of-two's audition, which aired during the talent show's comeback on Saturday night after two years.

The audition came as a complete surprise to Nick who thought his sister-in-law had bagged free tickets to watch the show, only to find himself in the 'Gogglebox seats', mic'd up ready for his reaction to his mum and two daughter's appearing on stage, imploring him to sing for the judges.

After his initial shock, Nick stood in front of Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, David Walliams, and Amanda Holden with his guitar in hand and performed an emotional rendition of Daddy’s Little Girl by Ernie Halter.

Nick appeared on This Morning alongside his daughters Savannah and Cali, who are three and four, to chat about the tear-jerking audition that saw him get a standing ovation and receive four yeses from the judges but also cause a bit of controversy among viewers.

"I was in tears the whole day pretty much," Nick admitted. "They gave me some time to warm up - about 45mins in total. They gave me my guitar my family brought down on the day, they [producers] said this is the song we want you to sing because we'd seen it on your Instagram."

But Nick's interview on the ITV show was overshadowed with his daughter's stealing the show. Alison and Dermot asked the two youngsters whose idea it was to surprise their dad before they all stood up and did some dancing.

Dermot was also giving out high-five's and viewers were having their hearts melted by the adorable scenes.

"Somethings happened to me watching @radioleary on @thismorning interacting with these 2 kids and now i’m suddenly inlove with him #thismorning," @rach_leary tweeted.
