ITV This Morning viewers horrified seconds into show with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield

This Morning viewers didn't hide their disdain as they tuned into the latest edition of the programme. The ITV daytime show was back on screens on Tuesday (November 1) with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield back at the helm.

And there was a stark difference as the Halloween decorations had been stripped away and the hosting duo were back to their normal selves after being 'swapped' for Wednesday Addams and Uncle Fester during Monday's spooky addition of the popular show.

But it wasn't just Holly and Phillip who underwent almost unrecognisable changes. The pair were joined by Morticia Addams (Alison Hammond), Gomez (Steve Wilson), Kitty Kat (Matthew Wright), Pugsley Addams (Gok Wan), Cousin Kint (Gyles Brandreth), and Long John Addams (Dermot O’Leary) on the special edition of the show which featured spooky recipes, Halloween fashion, advice and a whole load of haunted happenings.

However, it was scene-stealing butler Lurch, aka Josie Gibson, who stole the show in viewers' eyes as they grunted their way through the show, opening doors, assisting and even singing and dancing to surprise guest and Mysterious Ghoul Peter Andre in an out-of-character moment.

Kicking off Tuesday's show, Holly, 41, and Phillip, 60, pointed out they were back in their usual clobber, with Holly donning a floral red and black dress and Phillip opting for a brown shirt and black trousers, and started by discussing Mariah Carey who took to social media to declare Halloween was over before slipping into her iconic Christmas outfit.

The American singing superstar told her followers that 'it's time' for '#MariahSZN' as she took to her Instagram page with a clip of herself donning an all-black catsuit complete with a witch hat as she pedaled on an exercise bike while doing a creepy laugh to the camera.

The video then transitioned to Mariah singing 'it's time' while her rendition of All I Want For Christmas Is You began to play. She then appeared sat on a reindeer and was wearing the iconic red bodysuit the 52-year-old wore on the cover of her 1994 Merry Christmas album.

And Holly in particular was on board with Mariah, admitting so by sharing the video on her Instagram Story, and she must have roped Phillip and the This Morning crew in too as they opened with a clip of Mariah Carey singing her Christmas hit before the presenting pair could be seen seated in the studio, wearing a festive red and white Santa hat.

Holly and Phillip declared 'it's Christimas' (ITV)

"I mean, does this mean it's official, the queen of Christmas, has announced it..." Holly said before donning her hat and adding: "It's Christmas everybody!" Philip then called on the This Morning production team to "programme snow" into the background behind them as they got into the spirit of Christmas a few weeks early.

And not all This Morning viewers were on board. @demelcy tweeted: "Not Christmas! Remembrance day not even gone yet #ThisMorning." @dcm_illness commented: "#thismorning No, it's too early. Christmas is 24th onwards in December for 12 nights.. these are just shopping days."

@henriksen1 declared: "It's NOT Christmas. #Thismorning." @SenorApple2014 posted: "For the last time, Christmas Day is 54 days away, God dammit! #ThisMorning." @gillyn4 shared: "Ffs, it's the 1st of November! #Thismorning." @Boppity_Boo34 added: "It’s only 1st November bugger off with the Xmas s**t #ThisMorning."

But @Crazier seemed to go against them all and tweeted: "#ThisMorning November 6th I will be putting my Christmas decs up. Don’t @ me with your disgust cos I don’t care!!"
