Alison Hammond has shared an unseen snap with Holly Willoughby as she sent her a message on her birthday. Holly, who turns 42 on Friday (February 10), made her last appearance on This Morning on Thursday (February 9) for more than a week as she and co-host Phillip Schofield head on their half-term break.
Earlier this week, the pair had been talking on air about Alison's wild birthday party which took place in her home city of Birmingham last weekend. Some of the This Morning crew headed to celebrate the presenter turning 48 at her joint bash with her son, Aidan, who turned 18 on the same day.
As well as Holly, Alison's co-host, and Aidan's 'TV dad', Dermot O'Leary was in attendance with his wife Dee, Josie Gibson, Alice Beer, Carol Vorderman, Vanessa Feltz, also joined in the fun while Gok Wan was on hand to DJ for the birthday boy and girl.
And while photos have been shared on social media, Holly wasn't too keen to let any stories slip live on This Morning but there were a couple of details she was able to reveal - such as Alison gave guests a goody bag containing a chocolate orange and bottle of Bailey's and a certain dance move that she only just discovered the name of.
Following a break on Monday's programme, Phillip, 60, said: "Do you know what I'm loving? What I'm loving is that as a team here, gradually stories bit by bit, by bit are leaking out over Alison Hammond's party on Saturday night." He added: "Loads of the team went. The photos are unbelievable and gradually, people are going, 'Oh my God, I did, didn't I?'"
Phillip was quick to explain that he missed out due to attending his own daughter, Ruby's, gathering with family over the weekend and the two occasions clashed. "I've just remembered there was one performance of the night where there was a dance troupe there and they did what is known as, I've just discovered, the death drop where one leg goes up and bang... you land in the splits."
The mum-of-three then laughed as she said: "And I may have just tried to reinact it," as Phillip interjected: "She did it in the break and ended up flat on the floor." And while she may have thought she's escaped it making it to national TV, she was wrong.
But as attention turned to Holly's big day, Alison took to Instagram to share an unseen black and white photo of the pair from Alison's party last weekend. She added multiple gifs that read 'Happy Birthday' and added the Stevie Wonder track over the top. The image showed Holly pulling a face as she looked at Alison in a sweet exchange.
However, it was another partnership that sent fans wild as Alison shared a new video to her Instagram grid. It showed the former Big Brother star goofing around with Richard E Grant after the pair were unveiled as the hosts of the 2023 Baftas last month. The This Morning host and the actor, who was nominated for an Oscar for his role in crime biography Can You Ever Forgive Me?, will host the 76th annual film awards ceremony at the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall next weekend, on February 19.
"I just can’t wait for the big Night with @richard.e.grant @bafta," Alison posted alongside the video." She then added: "Going to be a night to remember!" Loose Women star Ruth Langsford was quick to comment: "Yes Babs!" While Juice Master Jason Vale commented: "This is incredible."
And fans were also loving it. @sara_and_ned said: "Well if that isn't a double dose of happy, I don't know what is! Cannae wait." @b.beadsmonmouth commented: "I will watch it only because of the two of you..." @elsoir replied: "NATIONAL TREASURES SQUARED. OH MY DAYS." @w1_mum shared: "What a joy! Two absolute legends. You are going to absolutely smash it."
@parkhousepeta wrote: "BAFTA couldn’t have found a better couple of Hosts if they looked for a lifetime’ can’t wait to see you two in action." @mandyboyle_106 posted: "I don’t usually watch, but this year I’ll be watching just for you." @james_edwards_lees added: "Congratulations, you’re both gonna be fantastic."
