ITV This Morning: Original Sugababes members make reunion appearance but fans point out issue

At the start of ITV's This Morning on Friday (June 24), it was revealed the original Sugababes line-up would be appearing on the show, which sent excitement bubbling among fans. Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan joined hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield live in the studio.

It's been announced they will be heading out on their first UK headline tour in more that 20 years in October, starting in Bristol before heading to Leeds, Manchester and Cardiff. The reformed band appeared on the ITV show shortly after the announcement, reports Manchester Evening News.

The trio, however, started by sharing with the hosts how they were just schoolgirls when they met and started recording music together. When Phillip asked if it was 'bonkers' that they started so young, Mutya said: "It really was. You don't realise how young [we were]."

She added: "A lot of people always thought we were a lot older and I think that's why works now because we're not old. We've still got loads of time and years to go."

Siobhan spoke about the 'scrutiny' and how at the time they were just 'three awkward teenagers'. "We didn't got To stage school and we're still not media trained as you'll probably tell. But you're really hard on yourself and it's so different this time around."

They were also asked about a legal battle over ownership of the pop group's name. Keisha admitted: "We were fighting for the name [Sugababes] and legally we wanted it back. It was really important for us because we came up with it when we were kids, but we stuck together and it’s who we are really and we’re just glad that we’ve got it back… and that’s why everything we do now means so much more."

But it was something earlier that caught viewers' attention. "With six number one singles, millions of album sales, quite a few members over the last two decades, the Sugababes have become one of the most successful girl bands of all time," Phillip Schofield said before a montage of the band's biggest songs played out.

It featured the group's very first single, Overload, as well as other memorable tracks Round Round and Push the Button. But This Morning viewers were quick to point out that original member Siobhan only featured in one of the throwback clips.

They mainly referred to Heidi Range, an original member of girl group Atomic Kitten, although she left the group before they released any material, who replaced Siobhan in the group.

@craggleprice said: "So @Sugababes are on @thismorning and most of the VTS are showing Heidi in them #JusticeForHeidi !! Siobhan literally left before they went big #ThisMorning they should have all the members together! Imagine that!" @DarioCJK wrote: "So the montage of their hits didn’t actually have Siobhan in them… meh #ThisMorning."

@swanseasucks tweeted: "These girls are so talented, let's not forget Heidi though, she was in most of their bops #ThisMorning." @missohlola argued: "They should really have Heidi there cos she was with them for the most singles/albums #ThisMorning." @missohlola shared: "Surely Siobhan can only really sing like two of their singles, pretty much the rest was Heidi! #ThisMorning."
