ITV This Morning guest aims slap at Phillip Schofield as she 'walks off' set

This Morning viewers were baffled by a segment on today's show.

Tuesday's edition of ITV's flagship daytime programme was hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. They were joined by osteopath, Dr Nadia Alibhai, who provided advice on how to avoid joint pain this winter.

Dr Nadia explained the importance of motion and urged people to move around even if they were staying at home. However, Phil was in hysterics when Dr Nadia gave the impression her parents lived in a lavish home.

She said: "My parents started doing badminton indoors. The shuttlecock always gets caught in the chandelier."

Phil was taken aback as he stepped in: "They've got a big house." Dr Nadia was mortified as she told Phil: "Stop it, you're making me laugh."

The broadcaster continued to poke fun at the guest as he said: "If you haven't got a badminton court in your house and you don't want to run the risk of getting the shuttlecock caught in the chandelier, what about painkillers?"

The medical expert insisted her parents don't have a badminton court before she explained the painkillers help mask pain, but urged anyone affected should seek out advice from a GP first. Dr Nadia also explained the importance of diet as bone broth can help relieve pain, which prompted another cheeky dig from Phil.

He said: "With bone broth, are you boiling... well, obviously your family aren't because you've got someone to do that down in the kitchen."

Phil aimed one parting gag as they thanked Dr Nadia for appearing on the show. He said: "Drive carefully when you get home. Make sure when you go round to see your parents you don't run over any deer in the driveway."

Dr Nadia was in hysterics as she aimed a slap at Phil's leg after his cheeky remarks. She said: "Stop it. My parents are going to kill me."

Viewers following the show on Twitter were confused at the end of the segment.

Paul said: "Did she just walk off set??"

Amy posted: "She forgot she was still live on tv"

Yvonne tweeted: "I think she forgot they were still filming!"
