Fans of This Morning were divided over the daytime talk show returning "early" - with some even claiming they were "switching off".
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield returned to our screens earlier than normal after Christmas. Today, on Wednesday, December 28, the presenters appeared in a special pre-recorded episode.
Normally they aren't back in the studio until after the New Year so the move baffled fans. Some were delighted, whereas others were not too impressed with the early showing.

Taking to Twitter, Jill said: "Very surprised to see Holly and Phil back so soon after Christmas! They are not usually back until new year #thismorning." Robert said: "Very surprised to see Phil and Holly back, thought would be off until January. #ThisMorning."
Another user said: "There goes my tv off no thank you Phil and Holly @thismorning boring tv again with same old boring faces bore off I’m yawning #thismorning."
Others pointed out the fact that while Phil and Holly may be back, the show was actually pre-recorded. Laura said: "Lol why are they are patronising us by pretending the shows this week are live 'oh I've got leftovers'. The shows were recorded when they were off air for the World Cup #ThisMorning."
Michelle said: "Is this meant to be live or pre recorded? #thismorning." A third said: "I suspect this is pre recorded, let's see if there is a phone in or a spin to win lol."
ITV confirmed that This Morning will be on air throughout the Christmas period between December 28 to 30. Speaking of this year's changes, Phil said: "I think it’s really lovely to be on over the Christmas period, there’s something really quite special about being a part of everybody's Christmas morning. There’s a lovely atmosphere in the studio and you’re never quite sure what's going to happen!"
