ITV The Masked Singer Poodle's identity 'rumbled' after fan confrontation

Fans of The Masked Singer think they have identified who is behind the Poodle costume.

The extraordinary outfit is one of 12 celebrities competing on this season of the popular ITV show.

Poodle has been a big hit with fans as his incredible performance of "Rocketman" got the judging panel out of their seats.

Jonathan Ross, Rita Ora, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan have returned to the detective chairs to guess who the celebrity is behind the outfit.

During Poodle's VT the character gave clues about his identity and included references to queens, performing, glamour and dogs

This has led to the judges predicting it could be Paul O’Grady, Adam Lambert, Michael Ball or Rylan Clark in the costume.

However, one fan is certain it is Capital FM DJ Roman Kemp and confronted him about it live on air.

A fan quizzed Roman Kemp about whether he was behind the Poodle costume (PA)

During a listener phone in, Eddie from Woking asked: “Roman, you’re not the poodle on The Masked Singer are you?”

The Celebrity Gogglebox star awkwardly dodged the comment before proceeding to ask another question.

He said: "Eddie, what’s your wake up pun?”

Roman's co-host gasped in shock at the revelation.

Sian Welby said: "Oh, he’s being so secretive!"

Speculation around which celebrities are competing in this season of The Masked Singer is hotting up after Russell Watson addressed speculation he was behind the Traffic Cone costume on Good Morning Britain yesterday.

He said: "I know who that is. The strange thing is, I didn’t know who it was when I saw the first performance, I had no idea. Then I heard the second performance and I know who it is. I’m absolutely certain.

"He’s not admitted it, he’s not mentioned it at all, but I’m convinced that is my mate Aled Jones."

The broadcasters were unsure if Russell was bluffing as Adil Ray claimed his voice is "too deep".

The Masked Singer airs this saturday at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub
