ITV The Chase bosses step in to correct Bradley Walsh after round ends

The Chase bosses stepped in to correct Bradley Walsh on today's programme.

The 62-year-old welcomed four new quizzers for the popular game show's final edition of the week. Danny, Karen, Carly and Richard were testing their wits against Darragh Ennis in a bid to win a cash prize.

Danny was first up and the 35-year-old from Sheffield put in an impressive performance to earn £3,000 in his cash-builder. However, the bosses issued an update after the round ended and said they would accept an answer previously given as incorrect.

Bradley had asked: "In the film franchise, what colour hair does the Chucky doll have?" Danny answered "orange", which Bradley did not accept as the answer was "red".

However, the adjudicators said they would accept this response. Bradley explained: "We did have three in the cash builder. However, the adjudicators have told me we can accept orange for the hair colour of Chucky. That's very nice so consequently we put you up to £4,000."

Danny continued his strong display as he booked his place in the Final Chase. He was joined by Karen and Richard in the last round as the team were competing for £15,000.

The team built up 14 steps, but were caught by the Menace with 21 seconds remaining.
