ITV Starstruck: Real life of Olly Murs with bodybuilder girlfriend, estranged twin brother, and Stacey Solomon rumours

Olly Murs is returning to primetime Saturday night TV tonight.

The singer and presenter is set to host ITV's latest entertainment show, Starstruck.

Likened to Stars in Their Eyes, Starstruck sees teams of superfans transform into their idols for a special performance.

The star-studded panel then decide which team was their favourite before the audience vote for just one person to go through to the series final.

And that'll mean they're one step closer to winning a whopping £50,000.

It is Olly's first time back hosting Saturday night TV since leaving The Xtra Factor in 2012.

The Essex-born star shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009, where he finished runner-up to Joe McElderry.

In third place was now Loose Women star Stacey Solomon.

Olly and Stacey were subject to intense romance rumours during their time on the show.

Olly said Stacey was his "closest friend" in the X Factor house but they were "just good friends."

But the pair soon denied ever sharing a kiss with Stacey telling Star magazine in December 2009 after the singing competition finished: "Blimey! I’ve never kissed Olly! Then again you are the last person I would tell if I had!"

Two years after being a contestant on The X Factor, Olly was teamed up with Caroline Flack to host the ITV singing competition's spin-off show on ITV2.

In 2015, the pair replaced Dermot O'Leary as co-presenters of The X Factor for series 12.

And while there is excitement about his latest hosting role, it does come with a tinge of sadness.

"The last time I did a Saturday night TV show was with Caroline," he told the Daily Star. "I avoided hosting a show for quite a few years, so this is a big moment for me.

"When we filmed the pilot, it felt strange. It was weird for me to be on my own. It was weird not having someone next to me.

"But Caroline was definitely with me."

Caroline died by suicide on February 15, 2020 at the age of 40.

And Olly says he still thinks about her every day.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Olly said: "God bless Caroline. I miss her every day and I think about her every day. I think about what I could have done to change things, what I could have said.

"There are all sorts of questions I ask myself every day. It's always difficult."

In the same chat, Olly says he's 'lucky' to have a 'great girlfriend and a great family'.

Olly has been in a relationship with Amelia Tank since 2019.

It is believed the pair met while they were at the gym.

However, Olly has previously said: "We we're just friends, then we started dating, then it fizzled out."

But after Olly had an operation on his knee, the pair reconnected.

And in September last year, Olly said on ITV's Lorraine: "I think I’m signed, sealed, delivered and finished. Finally, at 37-years-old I’ve found the one."

Amelia is an accomplished bodybuilder and model.

Last summer, Olly shared his pride as his other half won at the Pure Elite bikini competition in Margate after spending six months training.

Amelia has also helped Olly with his own fitness.

The couple live in their very own Essex mansion with their dog, Missy, which boasts a swimming pool, fully-equipped home gym, and Olly's very own mancave.

But Olly's family life hasn't been without its heartbreak.

The pop star has been open about being estranged from his twin brother, Ben Murs.

Opening up to Tom Jones, Will.I.Am and Meghan Trainor while a coach on The Voice UK, Olly said, “It's a shame - even more so for my mum.

"And I do miss having my twin with me. We had these two different personalities but we just had this bond.

"It brings back memories when I see twins. When we were kids we used to sing all the time."

The pair fell out when Olly missed Ben’s wedding so he could compete in The X Factor semi-final in 2009.

Sir Tom Jones asked Olly about Ben on The Voice UK in 2020, to which Olly responded: "We had a big argument.

"I feel like the next time I’m going to see him is when we lose somebody close in our family, and I don’t want that to be the case.

"I’ve got no idea where he lives."

Olly also has a sister, Fay, and nephews Louie and Quinntyn.

The Troublemaker singer has recently confirmed he still hasn't spoken to his brother telling The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine: "No, we haven’t spoken. It’s just the same.

"I would have [reached out to him over lockdown] but I don’t have an address for him.

"I don’t have a way to contact him and he doesn’t have contact with me."
