Lorraine Kelly stunned her ITV co-host when she gave her opinion on the drama surrounding Britney Spears' wedding day and her ex-husband. The presenter was joined by Ross King who was live from Los Angeles for the latest entertainment news on her self-titled show on Friday (June 10).
They kicked off with the news that overnight that the popstar had married her long-time partner, 28-year-old fitness trainer Sam Asghari, at her home in Los Angeles. The pair became engaged in September last year with the singer joking that the proposal was “way overdue”.
And the wedding comes just months after the pop megastar was freed from her conservatorship, which allowed her father Jamie Spears to control her freedom and finances for almost 14 years.

Sam's representative Brandon Cohen confirmed the marriage to the AP news agency. "I am very ecstatic this day has come, and they are married," he said. "I know (Asghari) wanted this for so long. He is so caring and supportive every step of the way." However, the special day was thrown into chaos when Britney's ex-husband Jason Alexander showed up at her home as she prepared for her third wedding.
Ventura County Sheriff’s Department has since said that Jason Alexander, 40, had been charged with two counts of misdemeanour battery, one count of misdemeanour vandalism and one count of misdemeanour trespassing following the incident.
Speaking about the incident on her show, Ross explained what had happened before Lorraine, 62, had her say. Addressing the news Lorraine said: "For goodness sake. What a total a**e, doing that to Britney. I mean really? When he was married to her for about a minute-and-a-half."
"He is obviously after publicity - I am quite annoyed we are talking about him now, now I think of it," she went on before then calling him a "buffoon".
But viewers couldn't believe it. @Fluffadelic tweeted: "#Lorraine said A**E!! @AvisMaxwell14 commented: "In stitches at Lorraine calling him an a**e."
Not everyone, however, saw the funny side. @pocketdragon39 @GMB #lorraine did she just swear on live TV? She called Britney Spears first husband an arse, unacceptable for someone supposed to be a role model." @Stepharrnee added: "Lorraine saying A**e at 9:02 am. Who does she think she is? Disgusting behaviour! #Lorraine."
