Emmerdale viewers issued a demand at the start of tonight's episode.
Tuesday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore the build-up to Sunday's dramatic 50th birthday episode when a storm is set to rip through the village. Tonight's programme centred around Faith Dingle as the character is set to exit the show this week.
Faith has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and her health has taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks. The Dingles have rallied around their mum in the show as they planned to take her on a family trip to the seaside.

Faith's health worsened in tonight's episode, but she was still insistent they should make the family outing. Tracy Metcalfe returned to the Yorkshire village last week and the latest episode also featured an emotional heart to heart between the two characters.
Viewers following the show on Twitter were emotional by the scenes and took to Twitter to praise Sally Dexter, who plays Faith, for her performance. Anne said: "Sally Dexter is incredible."
Jamie added: "Sally Dexter winning the soap awards next year" Laura posted: "Going to miss Sally Dexter so much she’s been extraordinary."
Viewers particularly enjoyed another feature of today's episode as it was broadcast in Emmerdale's previous timeslot of 7pm. It was moved from its usual place in the schedule due to coverage of Women's International Football, but fans hoped ITV would change the schedule back to the way it used to be.
Ryan said: "Now do us a favour #Emmerdale Keep the show at 19:00pm please."
@VampLover27 tweeted: "Omg on at 7pm again. Twice in a week oh I feel so blessed, if it wasn’t only cos of the football but a full schedule change back"
Garry commented: "Now for #Emmerdale back on at 7pm, yay"
Shaky posted : "The first time in a while that #Emmerdale and #EastEnders aren't overlapping each other!"
