ITV's Dr Michael Mosley has shared a food group that you should eat more of to aid rapid weight loss. The TV doctor, 64, was appearing on This Morning to share tips on how to shift the fat after he founded the 5:2 diet which has helped thousands achieve their weight goals.
The expert's programmes have also won a number of awards, and he was named "medical journalist of the year" by the British Medical Association for a ground-breaking programme on Helicobacter pylori. Dr Mosley also created the Fast 800 Diet - a short-term diet that claims to boost rapid weight loss.
The Fast 800 website states it is "used as a kick-start to improve metabolic health until a healthy weight is achieved, or for up to 12 weeks". The diet involves eating 800 calories a day in the form of foods that are consumed within a low-carb Mediterranean diet in order to feel full - as Liverpool Echo reports. Dr Mosley said the foods should be protein-rich, as well as being high in fibre and healthy fats.
