ITV replaces The Chase, Tipping Point, In For A Penny

ITV has replaced a string of shows that were due to air this weekend. ITV Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, ITV The Chase and ITV Stephen Mulhern's In For a Penny have all been dropped for the day.

As reported by Birmingham Live, the shows have been removed as ITV opts to air FA Cup Final coverage, with Liverpool taking on Chelsea on ITV1 and also on the ITV Hub at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday afternoon. ITV has also taken Romeo and Duet off air on Saturday, May 14.

The FA Cup airs from 3.45pm. It will be followed by the ITV News at 7.30pm and then ITV Britain's Got Talent following that.

The teams face each other for the fourth time in a domestic setting this season. All three of the previous meetings between the sides ended in a stalemate, featuring 1-1 and 2-2 results at Anfield and Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, as well as a 0-0 scoreline after extra time in the Carabao Cup final.

On that occasion, Liverpool would go on to secure the first trophy of the season following a tense 11-10 victory in the penalty shootout. Mark Pougatch presents, with analysis from Joe Cole, Roy Keane, Ian Wright, Robbie Fowler and Laura Woods, commentary by Sam Mattterface and Lee Dixon, and reports from Gabriel Clarke.

The final is also being shown on BBC One on Saturday afternoon. BBC will follow the final with Pointless Celebrities.
