The mother of Love Island star Jacques O'Neill has issued a heartbreaking plea after receiving hurtful messages on social media. Janet Wright took to her Instagram page to post a photo of herself proudly posing with her son.
Alongside the photograph of herself and Jacques on the rugby pitch she urged people to stop sending her 'nasty' messages. She wrote: "People sending nasty messages to me, please can you stop it does hurt thank you."
And many followers flocked to show their support. jess_evans19 told her: "Hope you are all ok! He’s doing amazing in love island. Don’t let anyone put you down. Xx" And xmarthaax wrote: "He is amazing and you have raised an incredible young man. I hope he wins alongside Paige."

Rugby player Jacques, 23, from Cumbria, who played for Castleford Tigers before joining the famous TV villa in Mallorca, is currently bookies' favourite to win with Welsh paramedic Paige Thorne, 24. Paige was left upset in Friday night's episode when fellow Islander Jay Younger chose her in the ITV2 dating contest, ending her coupling with Jacques.
Fans were moved to tears as the pair held hands across the gap while she shared a bed with Jay and Jacques slept alongside newcomer Danica Taylor. allie.ryanx told Janet: "Only because They are jealous. Jaqcues and Paige to win! They are the most genuine people in there."
lauren_aka urged: "Ignore the haters. Paige and Jacques are the most genuine couple in there! And Jacques is by far my winner." And baylissdenise predicted: "He's going to win with Paige."

Janet spoke out as Manchester model Remi Lambert revealed he and Jacques clashed in the villa in unaired scenes. Chatting with fellow dumped Islander Afia Tonkmore, Remi opened up about his brief time on the show.
"There was of lot stuff that wasn't aired - a lot of stuff going on," Remi confessed on YouTube series Reality with Will Njobvu. "So basically, me and Jacques got into quite a lot of arguments and it just made my experience s***."
He continued: "It ruined it for me. People were saying 'It's because he's got a rugby persona' - but you can't treat people like that," he added. When pressed by Afia about what the clashes were about he said Jacques would mimic his voice and say: "My name's Remi. I'm hard and I'm from Manny."
"It was so jarring," said Remi. "But I was the only one to stick up for myself because he would always do that to people and I would just like stick it on him and say 'shut up!'"
