ITV Love Island fans concerned as calls for islander to be removed grow

Love Island fans have expressed concerns for an islander amid growing calls for him to be removed from the show. Viewers are worried for Will Young's welfare and have started to ask if he should be removed from the hit ITV reality show.

Love Island returned on Monday night, January 16, before bombshell Tom Clare entered at the end of the first episode - and stole Will's partner Olivia Hawkins from him, as reported by Birmingham Live. Fans are now finding Will hard to watch on the show, as he struggles in his search to find love.

"Will is a sweet sweet boy, I'm sorry he’s just way too cute; he should pack up and leave the ting," wrote B on Twitter. Aimee said: "I feel bad for Will but then I don’t cause this man isn’t even tryyyingggg like he’s not even talking to the girls."

"He’s cute and all but I’m not up for another Hugo-type pity party this year please," a third commented. Soph said: "I want Will out of love island from a place of love.

On Reddit, a fan wrote; "Producers have done Will dirty and are just using him for the joke factor. They didn't even try and put any type of girl in there that would fancy him and knew this would be the outcome." And another chimed in by saying: "Will needs all the help he can get poor thing, feel like producers intentionally put a awkward one in the bunch, it's getting old ITV."

"Why did they put Will in there? It seems really cruel to see him struggling," another agreed. Watchers have also claimed his fellow islanders sabotaged his outfit choice on Wednesday's episode.

Will was getting ready and asking for help from his co-stars. "Fit out of ten," Kai said as Will showed off his outfit, before adding: "I rate it." But he then said: "What about black trousers with a black shirt. It doesn't have to be a shirt."

Will then got changed into a plain white tee with trousers, as Tom replied: "Now we're talking!" The footballer then added: "That looks well smart". Haris agreed, saying: "That is the fit. That is the one, that looks nice."
