ITV Loose Women's Kaye Adams confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line up

Loose Women revealed that Kaye Adams is the next contestant to join Strictly Come Dancing's 2022 line up.

Today's episode of the ITV show teased that one of the Loose ladies would be joining the cast of the ballroom dancing show. But who would it be - Kaye Adams, Denise Welch, Carol McGiffin, or Nadia Sawalha who joined the panel by video link?

The show pulled a double bluff as they revealed Carol to be the one, but it turned out that it was a joke. They later confirmed that it would be Kaye who was set to get her dancing shoes on.

The studio erupted in excitement as the hosts hugged each other and crew members danced. Kaye said: "I can't dance at all."

She added: "I'm terrified, I'm actually terrified." Nadia reassured her that but added that she is a bad dancer. Kaye said: "I could think of a million reasons not to do this and when these gorgeous young dancers came on I nearly exited from both ends of my body, honestly.

"But I thought am I going to be sitting at the end of September thinking 'do you know what why didn't I just give it a go?'. I'm 59, I know I keep going on about my age, I've decided to embrace it. I'm 60 at the end of this year and I think well why not? I can't make much of a fool as myself any more than I already am."

Her friends reassured her as they told her she would be brilliant. But Kaye said: "As long as I enjoy myself I will be so happy."

The TV presenter is set to join BBC presenter Richie Anderson, Corrie's Kym Marsh and Will Mellor in the already confirmed line up. The show has made huge changes in the build-up to its official return after lockdown rules were lifted.

The jarring windows between judges will be removed and fans of the show will be invited back to the ballroom as a live studio audience will return. The much-loved show is set to return this autumn.
