Last night's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! The Coming Out Show didn't show every aspect of Matt Hancock 's arrival at the hotel after leaving camp on Sunday.
The disgraced MP, 44, came third during the I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! 2022 final and reunited with his girlfriend Gina Coladangelo on the bridge, before heading back to the JW Marriott hotel on Australia's Gold Coast where the celebrities stay following their jungle exit.
But while the former health secretary posed for selfies with fans and hugged his former campmates outside the hotel, last night's special didn't show ITV viewers just how welcome his reception was on Sunday night.
Although the show showed the other celebrities' reunions with each other at the hotel - with viewers seeing Chris Moyles even popping into Mike Tindall's room with some beers - Mr Hancock's journey back to normality focused on the controversial campmate catching up with girlfriend Gina.
ITV viewers were quick to notice the edit and pondered if a rift between the campmates was behind the decision to leave Mr Hancock's hotel arrival out of the final cut.
Taking to Twitter, one asked: "Reckon they skipped Matt's welcoming to the hotel bc no one turned up…?"
A second added: "Not them skipping Matt's hello to everyone at the hotel,” as a third wrote: “Crying cause there was no welcome for Matt."
Another asked: "Did no one say hi to Matt at the hotel then?” as a fellow viewer added: “The way they cut Matt entering the lobby."
Last night's homecoming show comes amid swirling rumours of a feud among this year’s line-up of celebrities, particularly given that a number of stars have failed to follow the West Suffolk MP on social media.
The cheating MP is only followed by five of his former campmates, with Queen of the Jungle Jill Scott, singer Boy George, Loose Women star Charlene White, DJ Chris Moyles, and presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly yet to forge an online relationship with Mr Hancock.
The I'm A Celebrity special airing last night comes as Mr Hancock finally returns to England to face the music, following his controversial reality TV venture.
Yesterday, Piers Morgan revealed the MP had landed ahead of returning to his constituents in West Suffolk, as he bumped into him at the airport.
The former Good Morning Britain presenter, 57, told his Twitter followers how he had an 'awkward' encounter with the disgraced MP at Heathrow Airport today, as the politician finally returns home ready to resume his work duties and meet with his constituents in West Suffolk.
Piers, who was critical of Mr Hancock's decision to appear on the ITV show, told his fans online how he told the controversial campmate how he would have given him "a kicking" had he been in camp with him.
