The household names who are returning to the jungle for an all-star version of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here have been confirmed. Former campmates have signed up for another run in a bid to be crowned the first I'm A Celebrity Legend.
The action kicks off on ITV1 next month with Ant and Dec once again on presenting duties. The special series, which marks I'm A Celebrity's 20th anniversary, has been filmed in advance in South Africa.
Stars taking part include Happy Mondays frontman Shaun Ryder, boxer Amir Khan, Olympian Fatima Whitbread and ex-cricketer Phil Tufnell, the Daily Star reports. Former Coronation Street actor Helen Flanagan and presenter Carol Vorderman are also involved.
Completing the line-up are Diversity dancer Jordan Banjo, supermodel Janice Dickinson and former royal butler Paul Burrell.
An ITV spokeswoman said: “They survived the Australian jungle, but South Africa is an even harder proposition which will push them to their limits and test them like never before. The challenges are bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving.”
Amir Khan said: “I’m determined this time not to be soft when it comes to the trials!” And Helen Flanagan added: “I will be scared but I will have a go and I will be a lot better than last time!”
Further celebrities will be sent into the jungle throughout the series to keep viewers entertained.
