Good Morning Britain viewers have shared their anger once again as they told Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway to 'get a grip' over their latest 'top story'. The duo, who have been friends and worked together for more than 20 years, were back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Friday (January 6).
And once again, there was a 'breaking' update on the on-going royal saga as another trailer from Pince Harry's upcoming televised interview was released. The Duke of Sussex has been hitting the headlines as teasers from his upcoming interviews on both ITV and CBS News in America are released.
It also comes as segments from his new book, titled Spare, are leaked. In the new trailer for Harry: The Interview ahead of its broadcast on Sunday night on ITV1 and ITVX, Harry is heard talking to Tom Bradby about an altercation with his brother - in which he said Prince William grabbed him by the collar, ripped his necklace before he fell to the floor ontop of a dog bowl - which he describes in his autobiography.
Prince Harry said: "What was different here was the level of frustration, and I talk about the red mist that I had for so many years, and I saw this red mist in him. He wanted me to hit him back, but I chose not to."
The clip also features the interviewer referring to Prince Harry’s revelations in Spare about drugs he has taken and his views on reconciling with members of the Royal Family. "There’s a fair amount of drugs. Marajuana, magic mushrooms, cocaine. I mean, that’s going to surprise people," Tom said to which Harry replied: "But, important to acknowledge."
Talking about his family, Harry added: "I want reconciliation. But, first, there needs to be some accountability. The truth, supposedly, at the moment, has been there’s only one side of the story, right? But, there’s two sides to every story."
Following the release of the new clip, Ben and Kate were joined by royal editor Jack Roysto where they discussed the future of the royals. "Crucially, the Coronation is coming up in just a few months' time," Ben said. He doesn't commit to whether he will be at the Coronation in the interview with Tom Bradby. What's your expectation? What do you think?"
Jack replied: "It's obviously not completely up to him whether he's at the Coronation. He can't turn up as a king of bystanders or kind of stand in the Mall with everybody else. So he's got to have an invite. Obviously, William is going to be furious about everything Harry's put in this book.
"I actually have some sympathy for Harry in relation to that relationship, but William will be furious, and I cannot see William wanting Harry at the Coronation after everything."
But as they continued to discuss the latest revelations intermittently throughout the programme, GMB viewers were flocking to social media to complain. @shiv3000x tweeted: "Ffs enough now I can’t deal with Harry anymore this feels like torture now make it stop #GMB."
@yogica12 pleaded: "Please stop talking about Harry and Megan. Bored to tears here #GMB." @EklundElek fumed: "Harry 'Top Story' again. GET A GRIP @benshephard and @kategarraway. We have REAL issues going on in the UK. THEY should be your news! #GMB." @BiBetty3 added: "I have never really been a fan of the Royal Family, including Harry & Meghan, but the fact that their family bust up is given more attention than the current state of the UK, makes me dislike the whole Royal lot of them. People have real, serious worries... this is not one! #GMB."
