Good Morning Britain viewers were not ready for Ed Balls' appearance on the show on Tuesday. The former MP was back as host of the ITV news programme, replacing Richard Madeley, alongside Susanna Reid.
During the latest edition of the show, Ed and Susanna were joined by Richard Arnold who was on hand to discuss the latest TV and showbiz news, including his time on the red carpet the night before as the Downton Abbey stars attended the premier of their latest film.
After the glam of the movie night, talk turned to whether Anton Du Beke would join Strictly Come Dancing's judging panel this year after he was omitted from the professional line-up which was revealed last month.

But as they played the BBC One dance contest's iconic theme tune, Richard said: "Thank you for that," before Susanna said: "Yeah, it affects all of us doesn't it," while she, Ed, Richard and news reader Ranvir Singh began to jokingly dance having all appeared on the show themselves.
Richard then joked: "All four of us have got PTSD now," before Gangnam Style began to play out in the studio, referencing Ed's memorable routine on Strictly in 2016. With the music playing, he decided to repeat his moves but not before saying: "Oh no, again?" as Susanna remarked: "Oh come on, like you have to be forced to do it!"
Ed then started to get into the moves and thrust towards Susanna who said: "I beg your pardon?" before starting to back away from her co-host. "Well, that escalated..." Richard commented as Ed continued to dance towards Susanna.
"Yeah, I don't remember that move," the 51-year-old presenter said. "But anyway..." she added. Ed then explained: "Yes you do, technically it's called the pony."
"Right... okay," Susanna replied before saying: "Let's move on," as Richard interjected: "Do you know what Ed, even I'm not signifying that with a response." Susanna then concluded: "Yeah, I think probably less of that," with a slightly concerned look on her face.
And it was also a bit much for GMB viewers. @Speedqueenie tweeted: "It's far too early for Ed Balls to be putting Gangnam Style 'pony' moves on Susanna Reid #GMB."
"#GMB #GoodMorningBritain Susanna to Ed right now," @hooray_k shared alongside a GIF of someone gagging.
@IANMUSIC25 said: "I’m sorry I like Ed but presenting morning breakfast telly is awkward! @ITV #gmb."
"Ed Balls doing his sexy face is utterly repulsive. #GMB," @SteveB2Notts added.
