Good Morning Britain has finally found its replacement for Piers Morgan two years after he quit the show following a row about his comments about Meghan Markle. Since his abrupt exit, Susanna Reid has been joined by a variety of co-stars including Richard Madeley, Adil Ray and Ed Balls.
But it has been officially confirmed that Martin Lewis will become a regular co-host on the ITV news programme after various stints fronting the show as well as appearing to offer his crucial money-saving advice. GMB has announced that the 50-year-old financial journalist and consumer champion will join the show on various Wednesdays across the year, alongside long-term presenter Susanna.
Speaking about his new, more permanent role, Martin said: "To have the ability to hold politicians to account over the cost of living is a privilege and a responsibility. It's a slight gear change from my usual work, but after years of answering complex questions, it’s nice for once to be asking them. So I was delighted when ITV offered me the role of regular presenter.
