Viewers tuning into Good Morning Britain took aim at the show's guest today (Oct 25) for being 'grumpy'. TV star Chris Tarrant appeared on the ITV programme to discuss the highs and lows of 50 years in showbiz.
The former Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (WWTBAM) host of 16 years was welcomed onto the show by presenters Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway. They both praised Tarrant for his half a century of being on telly, as well as welcoming a Ukrainian refugee family of three, including a nine-month-old baby, into his Berkshire home.
Tarrant said he and his partner Jane Bird were inspired to act after seeing footage of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine. The trio later went on to discuss his time in the TV industry.

"You started in TV eight years before the current Prime Minister was born," Kate Garraway began. "Yes, alright," Tarrant hit back.
Richard then interjected: "I started my job in the same year, in 1972." Tarrant replied: "Really? I always thought you were older than me for some reason."
Kate and Tarrant then poked fun at the time Richard Madeley accidentally called new WWTBAM host, Jeremy Clarkson, Chris when he went on the gameshow, sharing a clip of the moment to viewers.
As the clip ended, Tarrant quipped: "I can't believe you did that. It's like calling Rishi Sunak Boris."
As light-hearted as the conversation may have been however, some viewers thought Tarrant came across quite 'grumpy'.
Twitter user @EmilyMulti posted: "Has #ChrisTarrant always been a self important, grumpy **** or is it a recent thing? #gmb." @FlopsyPickle tweeted: "Chris Tarrant always comes across like he’s probably not particularly nice person, I’m probably wrong but I dunno I just get a vibe from him #GoodMorningBritain #GMB."
@Daisy26398461 wrote: "Chris Tarrant is in a bad mood today, argumentative isn't he #gmb." @Iluvbatfink added: "Chris Tarrant is so contrary. #GMB."
On the other hand, many other viewers were entertained by the interview and took to social media to send their messages of appreciate to Tarrant for what he did for the Ukrainian family.
@Richard01895722 said: "Well done #ChrisTarrant that’s a wonderful thing you’ve done #GMB." @Easty2314 put: "@GMB Chris Tarrant wasn't on long enough. Enjoyed listening to him and how he took in Ukrainian refugees. What a wonderful human being."
