Viewers of Good Morning Britain have wished Kate Garraway many happy returns as Ben Shephard revealed she is celebrating her 56th birthday on Thursday.

The Good Morning Britain hosts were discussing the upcoming Coronation on Thursday's instalment of the show when Ben highlighted that it was his co-host's big day, playfully teasing that she was turning 60.

He said: "There's so much preparation, organisation going on at the moment for... Kate Garraway's birthday."
