ITV Emmerdale Vinny Dingle star's hidden talent and BBC past uncovered

Emmerdale's Bradley Johnson wowed spectators as he showed off his hidden singing talent this week.

The ECHO attended an event at the iconic fictional village on Monday as the show marked its 50th birthday. The celebrations ended in unexpected fashion with a concert outside the Woolpack pub.

Mark Charnock, who plays Marlon Dingle in the soap, took to the microphone to introduce his co-star, Bradley, to the stage. Bradley joined the cast of Emmerdale in 2019 and is renowned for his portrayal of Vinny Dingle.

Bradley has portrayed Vinny through a difficult period in the show as he was one of the characters kidnapped by the villainous Meena Jutla. However, his character has recently enjoyed happier times in the ITV soap as he tied the knot with Liv Flaherty.

Away from the Yorkshire Dales, Bradley possesses an incredible singing voice in addition to his acting chops. He thrilled the crowd on Monday with renditions of 70s classics from artists such as The Real Thing and Stevie Wonder.

Bradley's Emmerdale stint isn't the first time he has appeared on television. His incredible singing voice prompted him to apply for the BBC talent series, Let it Shine.

The show was broadcast in 2017 and aimed to find talented people to star in The Band, a musical featuring the songs of Take That. Bradley performed Bring Him Home from Les Miserables and wowed judges Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp.

The soap star went all the way to the final but finished in second place. He continues to share clips of his singing talent on Instagram profile and won praises from celebrities such as Lorraine Kelly after a stunning rendition of You Got A Friend in Me by Randy Newman.

She told Bradley in an interview on her self-titled chat show: "Bradley, that was fantastic. I mean, obviously you can sing, we saw that on the show, the Gary Barlow show, you ended up being part of that, it was just great."
