Emmerdale viewers were in tears moments into tonight's special episode.
Friday's edition of the long-running soap continued to explore Paddy Dingle's difficult period in the fictional village. The character, played by Dominic Brunt, has spiralled into a depression after he discovered his wife had an affair with Al Chapman.
Paddy's condition hit its lowest point last week as he considered taking his own life. The character was saved by his best friend Marlon Dingle, who gathered the men in the village together to rally round Paddy in tonight's show.

Paddy was initially resistant about joining the other characters in talking about their anxieties. However, the character eventually opened up and the episode ended on an emotional hug between Paddy and Marlon.
