Emmerdale fans were in for a shock as Leyla Cavanagh's stalker was revealed to be Nicky and not only that, it was confirmed that the former Home Farm nanny is Caleb Milligan's son. The truth was exposed - to viewers at least - during Thursday night's edition of the ITV soap (April 6).
Viewers have been speculating for months about what Caleb's real intentions for being in the village were after he announced himself as the long-lost half-brother of Cain and Chas Dingle. His reason for being in the village had sort o beenf exposed in previous scenes when he took a phone call and suggested he wanted to bring Home Farm, and Kim Tate, down.
And at the same time, Emmerdale fans have also been convinced that there is more to Nicky than has currently been revealed after he arrived in the village and bagged himself looking after Gabby Thomas' son. But all has been revealed as in the latest dramatic episode.

Fans have seen Leyla growing closer to Caleb and at the end of Wednesday night's episode, it had become clear that someone was watching them head upstairs as their romance hotted up as a hooded figure peered through the window of the wedding planner's home.
The next day, as seen during Thursday's trip to the Dales, somebody watched Leyla from a car window. Caleb offered to check in on her, but Leyla, who was subject to a kidnap ordeal just last month, finds her strength, not allowing former drug dealer Callum to keep her scared. But later, as Leyla entered the Village Hall, her stalker was apprehended by Caleb.
Later, viewers saw Caleb and Nicky making their way through the Emmerdale graveyard. In another twist, it was revealed that the pair are in fact father and son. And their walk was intense as they reached their destination – Frank Tate’s grave.
It quickly became clear that Frank is Caleb’s dad and Emmerdale has revealed that during Friday night's episode (April 7), which will be an hour-long special, viewers will learn more about Caleb's real reason for being in the village and his plan to win back his birthright, Home Farm.
Discussing the secret finally being out, Will Ash, who plays Caleb, said: "It's nice to have their big secret out in the open. There’s been a lot of people speculating, even people coming up to me in the street and asking: ‘What’s Caleb up to?’ and ‘why is he in the village?’ It’s good for that part of the story to be out there, great for the audience so they don’t start losing interest in that thread."
Nicky actor Lewis Cope added: "But it’s almost just the start too. Finding out that Caleb and Nicky are related. But why are they there? What are they up to? Do they succeed? How does it end? That’s all going to be really exciting stuff too!"
And despite remaining coy in previous interviews about his character's intentions, former Waterloo Road star Will revealed he knew Caleb's connections to the village from the get-go. "I knew that Frank Tate was Caleb’s dad and Faith his mum," he revealed. "Plus I knew that Caleb’s son had got a job at Home Farm which Caleb had pushed him to do to place him in that world to find out as much as possible about it."
However, Lewis didn't find out until later. He added: "I thought I was coming in as a love interest to Gabby, it was further down the line I got the scripts and it started to reveal itself for me. It was a nice surprise as I wasn’t preempting anything, I could just look at what was on the script and make that work."
