ITV Emmerdale's Liam Cavanagh goes 'too far' as he kisses his ex

Emmerdale's Liam Cavanagh went 'too far' in tonight's episode.

The ITV soap's doctor has been having martial issues lately as his relationship with Leila has been on the rocks. In his time of need, he turned to Bernice for a listening ear.

However, as well as sharing his thoughts Liam also went on to share a kiss - leaving Bernice horrified. The beautician had been pampering her friend as she gave him a manicure in her salon when things became tense.

They reminisced on old times as they remembered how Bernice left him for dust as she jetted off to Australia. Liam said: "I should have swallowed my pride, got on that plane and never let you go."

Bernice didn't give his passionate words a second thought as she said that they were "doomed from the start" and he only proposed to her because he "felt sorry for her". However, Liam disagreed.

He said: "I thought you were the most magnificent, complicated, exciting woman I'd ever met." The doctor went on to do a Mr Darcy impression before scooping Bernice into his arms and locking lips with her.

But he was not met with the reaction he had hoped for as Bernice looked absolutely horrified. She said: "That was totally inappropriate!"

With the realisation of what he had done dawning on him, Liam said: "I am a dreadful person." Bernice replied: "You're clearly mixed up. It's not fair on me or your wife."

She added: "We took a stroll down memory lane. But that was a journey too far."

Fans on Twitter agreed. Luna said: "Yes, yes you are a terrible person Liam #emmerdale."

Ryan said: "Yes Liam you're a selfish person #Emmerdale". Meanwhile Jordan said: "Liam you are an idiot!! #Emmerdale".
