Emmerdale fans think they know what Charity Dingle's mystery phone call was all about - and it has nothing to do with cheating fiance Mackenzie Boyd. Those tuning into the ITV soap on Wednesday night (February 1) were left guessing when the episode ended with Charity looking concerned as she was spoken to over the phone.
As viewers know, Mack is hiding a big secret from his bride-to-be as a one-night-stand has led to him fathering a baby with Chloe Harris, who just so happens to now be living with him with Charity and Sarah Sugden completely unaware who the father of the unborn baby is.
During the latest scenes, Charity was seen building a baby mobile for Chloe who she had sent off to lie down as she appeared exhausted. Mack too said he didn't feel too well and when he suggested that Chloe maybe wanted to set up her unborn baby's stuff herself, Charity told him to sleep his migraine off if that was his attitude.
And as he headed upstairs, Charity's phone began to ring. After confirming to the caller on the other end who she was, she asked: "Are you sure?" as a look of shock and worry became etched across her face. And while there is the baby secret still yet to be outed - and we know things don't stay hidden for too long in the land of soap - fans are convinced it isn't anything to do with Mack and Chloe's affair.

We know from the other posts that Noah is set to inherit money from Zoe so I think this call will be to tell Charity and Noah that Zoe's died and left Noah money." @nikki_ch_xx echoed: "I think it’s to do with Zoe Tate.. she leaves her shares or a lot of money to Noah, hence he is entitled to something which is going to Lord it over Kim?! That’s why they have been expressing Kim spending too much money on her lifestyle."

However, some think it could be more sinister for Charity. @karen75757575 said: "Bails has been released I reckon." @murrayyvonne614 commented: "I think it was to let her know that DI Mark Bails, has been released from custody." @missd.a.p shared: "I think it's to do with either her dad or Bails. They're the only ones that would make Charity drink and spiral into a reckless rampage."
Viewers will remember that DI Mark Bails is the late Harriet Finch's former boss who abused and raped Charity Dingle whilst she was a teenager which resulted in him fathering Charity's son, Ryan Stocks. And in 2018, Charity finally got to see him put behind bars and required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Meanwhile, other viewers were left disgusted by a scene with Charity's son Noah. Earlier in the episode, Noah was nervously waiting for girlfriend Amelia Spencer to arrive at The Woolpack for their first-ever date despite seeing each other for months and Noah even becoming a surrogate dad to Amelia's daughter, Esther, who she fathered with uninterested Samson Dingle.
But while they haven't ever been on a date, Noah also shared with his mum that they also haven't been as romantically involved as he'd have liked. As he got more stressed about Amelia's arrival, he told Charity: "Oh no, I'm sweating", to which she offered him a hairdryer to dry off.
"That's hot, that doesn't even make any sense," he fumed. Then soon, he unbuttoned his shirt and began mopping his underarms with what looked like a cleaning cloth from the bar of the pub and it left Emmerdale viewers issuing a desperate plea. @JDavvyy tweeted: "Don't do that at the Bar, Noah #Emmerdale."
