There was a surprise for Emmerdale fans on Thursday night (September 15) and it wasn't that they were treated to a triple bill of the ITV soap. Millie Tate was back after being kept from grandmother Kim Tate. The youngster was sent to live with her other Gran, Hazel, following her mother Andrea Tate's horrifying death in the maze fire last year.
Unbeknownst to Kim, the young girl was being silenced by her father, Jamie, after he faked his own death. But as Hazel ended up in hospital, Kim found out the truth about her son. She was initially gutted when Hazel and her granddaughter failed to show up to their planned meet-up to look at bridesmaid dresses.
But it only led to the shocking reveal. Kim, played by Claire King, learned Hazel had suffered an accident, and when she arrived at the hospital she discovered she had been pushed down the stairs by Jamie - and that he was still alive.

Kim was dumbfounded and demanded answers before picking up the phone and calling the police to report her son. She then took Millie home but things went from bad to worse when the youngster ran away, only to be found in the old home she shared with her mum and nurse Wendy Posner.
Kim and Wendy then faced off over Millie, unable to agree on where she should stay after being left terrified by her grandmother due to her dad's influence. But Emmerdale viewers couldn't help but point out a flaw in Hazle's story about what happened to her.

@chlodgshore questioned: "Wtf is this writing? She’s been hiding Jamie for months then suddenly changed her mind #emmerdale." @ChurchieBoy1986 posted: "#Emmerdale I think Kim is being played." @RyanGSoapKing11 added: "Kim Grassing on her own flesh and blood. Hazel could be lying Kim. #Emmerdale."
Others, however, think this is opening the door for Jamie's return ahead of the soap's 50th anniversary celebrations next month. @DannNotDaniel said: "So Jamie will be back then #Emmerdale." @BenthamFans wrote: "Soon as Jamie finds out that Millie is back at home farm with Kim he will soon be back god help us all #emmerdale." @News4Emmerdale posted: "So that’s Jamie coming back next month! #Emmerdale50 #emmerdale."
