Emmerdale fans donned their detective hats and think they've figured out the reason behind Cathy Hope's drastic mood swings.
The teenager, played by Gabrielle Dowling on the ITV soap, has been suffering from extreme mood swings and the reason behind her spiralling emotions is currently unknown. In recent episodes, she smashed up a guitar in a fit of rage.
She blamed the outburst on her brother Heath Hope, played by Sebastian Dowling, as she said him playing Coldplay's Yellow was distracting her from her revision. Later, she caused Bernice Blackstock, played by Samantha Giles, to burst into tears after insulting her.
