Emmerdale fans are rightly confused by many things when it comes to Meena Jutla as the evil nurse continues to dominate the soap while behind bars.
The serial killer is currently awaiting her plea hearing after being charged with a raft of offences including the murders of Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate, and Ben Tucker.
Viewers have seen the manipulative character cause havoc in the village unbeknown to many of its residents but she finally appeared to be getting her comeuppance when she was charged in scenes aired on the ITV soap last month.
However, this is Meena after all and she isn't willing to go down without a fight and has still been pulling everyone's strings from behind bars.
Earlier this week Meena attempted to frame sister Manpreet for Andrea's death despite already confessing to vicar Charles Anderson that she was responsible for her brutal murder.
The twisted character was seen during Tuesday night's episode making a new statement to the police, which resulted in Manpreet being questioned by DS Rogers.
As well as telling him Manpreet killed Andrea, she also claimed she didn't kidnap Manpreet, that she was there of her own free will and that It was all her idea - leaving her sister reeling.
And Meena was seen being surprised during Wednesday night's trip to the Dales as Manpreet returned to the prison and confronted her sister over her "ridiculous claims"
"You're not going to drag me into this, Meena," she told her before adding: "It's over, Meena. That's all I really came to say. You don't have any power over me anymore. You're just a forgettable girl in a nameless prison."
Manpreet then got up to leave, leaving Meena enraged and shouting: "Don't you dare walk away! You think you can live a normal life, hm? The serial killer's sister, living in the village of the damned? You'll never escape me, Manpreet.... ever!"
But while the scenes intensified between the pair, Emmerdale viewers were distracted by a confusing detail about Meena who has still been seen clutching her sides and hobbling to and from the visiting room weeks after being pushed over the same bridge by Liam Cavanagh where she killed his daughter, Leanna.
@CallunaMac asked: "Why is Meena still in pain? Didn't Layla get shot? She seems fine... #emmerdale."
"What's up with Meena holding her side? #emmerdale," @AngeBlue55 tweeted.
@DionPetrie echoed: "Why is Meena still holding herself #Emmerdale."
"#Meena is still faking that supposed 'injury'?! #Manpreet #Emmerdale," @Rosepetal98_ commented.
Despite that, fans of the soap had already been blasting Emmerdale for its 'stupid' police blunder as Manpreet was questioned by the police.
Detective Rogers revealed to the doctor that Meena had claimed she had wanted to get back together with Charles, who was dating Andrea at the time, so killed her 'love rival' to get her out of the way.
Clearly outraged, Manpreet said: "This is insane, why are you believing these lies? I thought you were supposed to be intelligent!
"Detective Rogers, I urge you to remember the reason you arrested her in the first place. Do you really believe I would kill someone just to get close to Charles again?"
And Emmerdale viewers were just as outraged by the suggestion as Manpreet had a very evident alabi.
@chattymandan said: "Why’s this inspector even asking such stupid questions manpreet hasn’t done anything #emmerdale."
"How could Manpreet have killed Andrea when she plunged 60ft into a waterfall and was with Charles the whole time??? Make it make sense #Emmerdale," @ACNHIsland2020 pointed out.
@JamieNews81 tweeted: "Manpreet was with Charles, Marlon and Paddy when Andrea was murdered. Then the paramedics. There are literal eye witnesses and evidence they've had since October. This is beyond stupid #Emmerdale."
"Do the police seriously think Meena was telling the truth. Could they be anymore incompetent! #Emmerdale," @Cirah_TV added.
